Expenses in Detail
This is really a labour of love in so many ways...
We are fortunate that the first of the six parts of our composition was performed, recorded and donated to us by friends of a student of mine - and they don't even want their names to be known! That was over a few weeks at the beginning of last year.
In March, Thomas gave me a very modest budget for composing, arranging, producing, even hiring artists. After paying him a retainer of $250, I started giving him $100 each month.
To make the music complete, it needs a good video. My colleague, Zen Wang, who has done a couple of videos with me, estimated it would cost $10,000 for producing, directing and post-production and offered to help.
In the design department, Siri Kartar Kaur, who collaborated with me on my Yogi Bhajan biography, created our fine logo for the nominal amount of $250.
As of today (November 27, 2021), here is what the budget looks like:
