PTSD is a debilitating condition caused by exposure to a terrifying event. It is estimated that one out of ten people will experience this disorder in their lifetime. Women are more likely to have posttraumatic stress than men. A high percentage of refugees also exhibit symptoms of PTSD.

The Instructor
The training course will be conducted by Guru Fatha Singh Khalsa from Canada. He started teaching Kundalini Yoga in 1972 and is an early student of Yogi Bhajan. Guru Fatha Singh participated in the organization of Dr. Farah Jindani's ground-breaking scientific study on the effects of Kundalini Yoga on trauma survivors and co-authored two scientific papers on Kundalini Yoga for PTSD. He gives regular classes in Toronto in "Yoga for Resilience."

This certification training will be held at Gemeinschaft Maibacher Schweiz, a holistic community in the town of Maibach, a 45 minute drive from the Frankfurt airport that regularly hosts workshops and seminars. The Maibacher Schweiz community often facilitates Kundalini Yoga and other trainings. Our hosts will provide the venue for our course, meals and accommodation. Attached you will find their price lists in English and Deutsch.

Depending on the linguistic needs of participants, there may be translation into other languages as well. Registration, Reservations & Payments
The Course The cost of the certification course is 225 Euros payable to The Academy of Life by March 24, 2017. Your place in the course will be confirmed by email upon your payment online. Starting March 25, the rate will be 250 Euros cash payable at the site of the course.

Accommodations & Meals The course starts Friday at 08:15 and ends Sunday at 20:30. Accommodations (single room, double room, etc.) as per the price lists should be reserved in advance: [email protected]. Payment for accommodation and meals will be made in cash with our friends at Seminar Centre Maibacher Schweiz. The meals are not optional as they are considered a part of the course. Special diets can be accommodated.
Getting There from Frankfurt Airport
Trains to Maibach run regularly from the airport. The fare is €20 each way. Our host, Yola has written a helpful guide to getting there.
