From the Frankfurt Airport to the Course
For public transport check: https://www.bahn.com/en/view/index.shtml This is the English site of the German train service. Put in "Frankfurt (Main) Flugh" to "Maibach, Butzbach" and add the time and day you want to travel. Depending on the connections it takes around 1 hour and 40 minutes, sometimes longer. There is always one change-over in "Frankfurt HBf" (main station) and sometimes one more in "Friedberg" to get with trains to "Butzbach". There the busses leave in front of the station to Maibach (numbers of the busses going to Maibach: 54, 55 and 58. However, they only go once or twice an hour so it is advisable to follow the advised route). There is only one stop in Maibach. Get off and walk straight down the main road. Pass the church on your right hand side and you will see our house Number 12, with letters "Maibacher Schweiz" on the wall on your left. Take the little path on the left of the building and enter through the back yard to go down on the main staircase. Welcome! (If anyone does travel by car: take the same route and park behind the building.) Ticket costs around 20 € one way, you can buy it when you are at the airport: Follow signs to the trains and buy at the machine (should work in English too) or at the Ticket office of the "Deutsche Bahn" outside the platforms in the train station of the airport. It might only be possible to buy the train ticket until "Butzbach" and then you will need to buy the bus ticket with the bus driver till Maibach. If any major problems arise when missing planes, late trains or busses - call 0049 6081 44 35 17 and ask for Yola or try Satjeet on 0049 177 490 31 88. (We could pick people up from Butzbach for ~7€, don't take a taxi from there!!! - it would be way too expensive. Hope this helps, Greeting Yola |
