Yoga for Resilience at the Islington Community School
Based on the latest research into the healing effects of yoga on mental and physical trauma, Yoga for Resilience offers an affordable weekly program in a safe environment taught by a qualified yoga specialist. Guru Fatha Singh has practised yoga for 45 years and has been mentored by Dr. Farah Jindani, a yoga/trauma researcher and clinician at the University of Toronto and Centre for Addiction and Mental Health.
This program is designed to give you a positive mentorship model in a supportive setting. A number of easy yoga exercises and meditations will be presented to help emotional and physical healing begin. A 15-minute daily homework program will be assigned.

Mondays, 6:15 t0 7:45 pm, 8 to 10 week sessions from September to June.
