Dear Secretary General,
Sat Nam. I received your letter "Compassionate Reconciliation" of October 2 eleven days ago. There are two points I would like to respond to. (link to letter)
Point #1
In paragraph number one of your letter, you say "As a religious organization with a commitment to high ethical standards, (Siri Singh Sahib Corporation) took formal and immediate steps to address the claims, commission an independent investigation from An Olive Branch, and publish the findings for all to review and understand." The italics are mine.
a) Again and again, we have been told that An Olive Branch did not conduct an investigation.
In fact, it only gathered allegations without corroboration or any form of investigation. To say you commissioned an investigation is patently untrue. It is a lie.
b) What did An Olive Branch compile and a majority of the Siri Singh Sahib Board vote to release into the public domain? A compilation of uncorroborated accusations together with an abbreviated collection of personal testimonies on behalf of the Siri Singh Sahib. Missing also were medical facts that put into question the accusations. Also included were some remarks about the inherent superiority of a celibate life, insulting to every Sikh of the Guru.
What you published was an unvarnished and unsubstantiated repudiation of the character and integrity of the man for whom the Siri Singh Sahib Corporation is named. Shame on you!
Point #2
In paragraph number two of your letter, you propose that the office-holders of the Siri Singh Sahib Corporation are embarking on a path of reconciliation and that you plan to lead our global community on that path.
This is the height of hypocrisy! How can you who have created this schizm in our community by your craven support and broadcast of unsubstantiated and filthy allegations against His Holiness Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji, Panth Rattan, ever possibly dream of guiding us to reconciliation? Ever?
In my view, the best course toward reconciliation that you and other office-holders of the Siri Singh Sahib Corporation can take at this time is to resign and beg for the pardon of our global Sangat. We have come a long way to arrive at this place. Now it is time for some of you to move on and let those who truly love and honor the legacy of the Siri Singh Sahib take over.
Love to all! Peace to all! Life to all!
In the Name of the Cosmos that prevails through everyBODY, and the Holy Nam which holds the world.
Humbly yours,
Singh Sahib Guru Fatha Singh Khalsa
