November 2, 1978 Class - Audio
Sat Nam. This post is part of a series I am calling "Gone with the Gong". It is created out of a concern of mine that these days, the gong is being overused by Kundalini Yoga teachers and that it is being taken out of its original context in which: 1) it was used just occasionally; 2) it was usually followed by mantra meditation; 3) it was presented in a context where sadhana was assumed as the foundational tool of self-awareness and 4) self-realization in the form of a saint-soldier was understood and accepted as the end objective.
I hope you enjoy the audio of this class from the 3HO Toronto archives. There are not many recordings of Yogi Bhajan ji playing a gong because he did not do it very often.
Here is a video on this and related subjects: Kundalini Yoga Props & Blocks (12:10) LINK
Here is the audio of the 1978 class with Yogi Bhajan, which includes his opening talk, gong relaxation, 2 kriyas, 3 songs, and a prayer (1:24:14). LINK
